In 2026, the final of the China–US Young Makers Competition Shenyang Division concluded successfully at NEU. The competition was hosted by the Education Department of Liaoning Province and organized by NEU. Since its launch, the competition has continued to expand its influence. A total of 346 youth maker teams composed of 1658 young participants from 11 provincial-level administrative regions across the country registered for the competition. Both the number of participating teams and the number of participants reached a new record high.

At the opening ceremony, Li He, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizing institution. He encouraged all contestants to harness digital and intelligent technologies as a driving force, think boldly, and pursue breakthroughs with courage. He also called on them to demonstrate the responsibility and wisdom of the younger generation in the new era through creativity and practical action.
The final adopted an evaluation format that combined on-site demonstrations with professional defenses, and the jury conducted a comprehensive, multi-dimensional assessment. After intense competition, the winners across all tracks were announced. The main track awarded 5 First Prizes, 20 Second Prizes, and 30 Third Prizes, while the vocational college sub-track awarded 3 First Prizes, 5 Second Prizes, and 10 Third Prizes.
