NEU Hosts Emergency First Aid (CPR + AED) Training

更新日期: 2026-03-18

On the afternoon of March 11, NEU invited professional trainers from Red Cross Society of Heping District to hold an emergency first aid training session, “Bringing Life-Saving Skills to Campus: Mastering the Golden Four Minutes,” in Room 200 of the Student Activity Center.

The training focused on the core knowledge and practical skills related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). During the session, Red Cross instructors systematically explained the basic principles of emergency first aid, the fundamentals of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the complete CPR procedure for adults, and the proper use of AEDs. The instructors emphasized the decisive role of the “golden four minutes” in on-site rescue during sudden cardiac arrest.

Each participant received hands-on guidance and personalized feedback from the instructors, ensuring proper technique and precise execution. Through a training approach that closely integrates theory and practice, students and faculty gained basic skills to perform CPR and use AEDs in emergency situations.

The emergency first aid training effectively strengthened students’ and faculty’s awareness and response skills for emergencies and accidental injuries, laying a solid foundation for a safer campus environment.
