On May 13, China Resources Recycling Co., Ltd. visited NEU for research and exchange. The meeting was held at the Key Laboratory of Ecological Industry of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in Zhixing Building. Wen Feng, Deputy General Manager of China Resources Recycling Group, Tang Lixin, Vice President of NEU, and others attended the exchange activity. The heads of relevant departments such as the Cooperation and Development Office and the School of Metallurgy, as well as experts and scholars, participated in the meeting as well.
Vice President Tang extended a warm welcome to Mr. Wen and his delegation for their research visit to NEU. He introduced the century-long development history of NEU, the disciplinary development history of NEU in the field of resource recycling, its leading professional advantages, as well as the important research achievements of the Key Laboratory of Ecological Industry of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. Vice President Tang hoped that both sides would take this exchange as an opportunity to work closely, complement each other's strengths, enhance exchange and cooperation in the field of resource recycling, jointly build an international first-class scientific research base in ecological industry, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the full revitalization of the Northeast and advancing the Chinese approach to modernization.
Mr. Wen introduced the main purpose of this research and exchange, hoping to enhance communication and exchange with NEU and the Key Laboratory of Ecological Industry of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, deepen the collaborative cooperation between the two sides in resource recycling, jointly explore "urban mines", and boost the continuous improvement of the circulation quality and level of the national economy.
Du Tao, Director of the Key Laboratory of Ecological Industry, elaborated in detail on the development history, team composition, research directions and main research achievements of the Key Laboratory of Ecological Industry. The research achievements of the laboratory in the fields of metal resource recycling, the absorption and treatment of bulk industrial waste, the co-processing and resource utilization technology of industrial solid waste, the co-processing and resource utilization technology of urban organic solid waste, the recycling and utilization technology of carbon resources, and the implementation plan of regional circular economy were mainly introduced.
