Sino-Russian International Conference on Geotechnical and Underground Engineering held in Northeastern University

The 4^thSino-Russian International Conference on Geotechnical and UndergroundEngineering was held in Northeastern University during July 4^th to 6^th.Chairman of China Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, NEU vice-PresidentXiating Feng, and more than 100 experts and scholars in the field ofgeotechnical and underground engineering attended the conference.

Focused on newmethods and technologies for the development of urban underground space, deepfoundation pit and foundation engineering, urban underground engineeringconstruction in cold zone, and tunnels and urban underground engineering, theconference arranged 6 invited lectures and 19 thematic reports. Combined withthe current development status of geotechnical and underground engineering inChina and Russia, 25 experts and scholars discussed the practical problems inthe construction of geotechnical and underground engineering, and put forwardnew analysis ideas and solutions.
