Northeastern University Won the Championship of National Bobocon for the 3rd Time

The 17thNational Collegiate Robot Competition ended in Zhoucheng, Shandong on Jun. 21st.Team of Northeastern University (NEU) named Actionwon the championship, which is the 3rd time that NEU won the title afterwinning two championships in 2016 and 2017, and will attend the ABUAsia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Bobocon) 2018 held in Vietnam on behalf ofChina.



The theme comesfrom a traditional game in ethnic region, throwingshuttlecock. The goal of the game is to throw the shuttlecocks through thering at height.


In thecompetition, each team needs the comprehensive application of mechanicaldrawing, electronic circuit, MCU, sensing technology, automatic control, imageprocessing, computer programming language, motor dragging and many otherdisciplines, to design and manufacture manual or automatic robot.


Links:The ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) is an Asian Oceanian Collegerobot competition, founded in 2002 by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. In thecompetition, robots compete to complete a task within a set period of time. Thecontest aims to create friendship among young people with similar interests whowill lead their countries in the 21st century, as well as helpadvance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region. The event isbroadcast in many countries through ABU member broadcasters.
