International students held Chinese traditional food experience activity, “Making Zongzi, Enjoying Dragon Boat Festival”

“Making Zongzi, Enjoying Dragon Boat Festival”,the Chinese traditional food experience activity was held in the training restaurant on June 14th. Nearly 100 international students from Northeastern University participated in the experience activity.

The training restaurant prepared soaked glutinous rice, fresh cilantro, candied dates, and meat stuffing for them. The restaurant chef showed the method of wrapping Zongzi and instructed international students how to pack Zongzi. Stacking reed leaves, filling glutinous rice and putting candied dates, teachers and students showed their remarkable skills, turning reed leaves and glutinous rice into different shapes of Zongzi.
